The display runs from ancie…The Istria Wine Museum is given over entirely to wine: its history, the technology behind it and its place in the region's identity. The display runs from ancient stone presses to hand-operated presses, large oak barrels and glass bottles from past centuries, then turns to original labels, documents, photographs and recorded voices of local winemakers.

Tastings range from a self-guided flight of three glasses to sessions led by a professional sommelier, and a theatrical storytelling performance presents the region's wine heritage. The museum also runs workshops on the history of Istrian wine for all ages, and evenings of traditional music, seasonal Istrian food and local wine.
