What is the minimum age for a first dive with Diving Pula?
Diving Pula takes children from 8 years old on Discovery dives and SSI Try Scuba. Certification is possible from age 10, though the centre recommends waiting until at least 15 for the Open Water Diver course.
What is the difference between a Discovery dive and Try Scuba at Diving Pula?
At Diving Pula a Discovery dive lasts about 20 minutes to a maximum of 5 metres after a short theory session. SSI Try Scuba runs 30 to 40 minutes, also to 5 metres, adds some skills practice and earns an SSI Try Scuba recognition card; it can count as the first dive of the Open Water Diver course. Both are done one-to-one or in groups of up to four with a certified instructor.
Can people with disabilities dive with Diving Pula in Pula?
Yes. Diving Pula's instructors are trained to Handicapped Scuba Association (HSA) standards and teach the HSA Dive Buddy, Open Water Scuba Diver and Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver courses, so divers with a physical disability can take an introductory dive or work towards certification.

The wrecks Diving Pula visits lie between 32 and 40 metres, so divers need Advanced Open Water Diver (or an equivalent) with a Deep Diver specialty, or SSI Deep Diver with a Wreck or Advanced Wreck specialty. The centre recommends at least 40 logged dives, and a wreck trip needs four to six divers depending on the wreck.
